Since the first batch was brewed in 1878, Betoota Bitter has been Western Queensland’s favourite beer.
Usually served cold.
However, due to the heat and social standards here in the Diamantina, the calls for a mid-strength soon became deafening. The Carton Brothers, custodians of the original Betoota Bitter responded by simply watering down their favourite lager to make it less potent.
That was then, this is now. The mustard is back.
